Check this out! While I was surfing for this year’s spring-summer shoes, I clicked on Gucci…and voila! –This pair of flats amazed me! Why? Because I never expected to see this on a Gucci catalog, and it looks cute and edgy and the-opposite-of-uptight. This pair was surrounded by other leather summer shoes with skinny straps, huge stones, stilettos, and sassy wedges. But this one right here made me raise my eyebrow and grin with a nod…

See? The scarf detail gives it more attitude. Imagine, a pair of flats–with the usual Gucci fabric–with a twist! I mean, I’ve seen pairs of shoes with this same design–except that they were all plain; blue suede flats with a blue silk ribbon sewn around it and tied up in the front…Too plain, huh? Once, I thought they were cute…but now I think they’re boring! Haha!

Well, anyway… this gives me an idea…maybe we should try making something like this! …Buy a pair of printed flats (or look for your old one), put holes using a puncher, and sew a scarf around each shoe. Maybe you could also use your chuck taylors’ printed shoelaces! Try anything! The more the prints clash, the better! …Why not buy these Guccis instead? –because they’re freaking US$482.00!! Haha! ..When we’re not filthy rich, we should learn to improvise!

Wouldn’t this be a fun crafting activity on “Art Attack“? LOL! Well, …enjoy!
